A cancer registry is a systematic collection of data about cancer diseases. The data are collected by cancer registry staffs. Staffs capture a complete summary of patient history, diagnosis, treatment, and status for every cancer patient registered in our hospital.

Cancer registry provides the necessary informations to government about the cancer incidence in our locality based on the patients registered in Cochin Cancer Research Centre. Also, provide the data to doctors for their research studies.

Mainly, there are two projects ongoing under Cancer Registry. They are,

  • Hospital Based Cancer Registry (HBCR)
  • Population Based Cancer Registry (PBCR)
