Thiruvananthapuram Medical College launches state's first comprehensive stroke unit

The Thiruvananthapuram Medical College has established the state's first comprehensive stroke unit, which includes a neuro cath lab, a stroke ICU, and a CT angiogram. The Department of Neurology operates the stroke unit, which is equipped with modern facilities for stroke treatment, including a CT angiogram cath lab. The unit has a 14-bed Stroke ICU that was established at a cost of Rs. 0.97 crore.Step-down and high-care beds have also been installed for stroke treatment.
