Sadgamaya is the child and adolescent-centric project of the Department of Homoeopathy. This initiative aims to support individuals under the age of 19 in attaining overall wellness encompassing physical, mental, emotional, and social aspects, with specific attention to health issues and behavioural, cognitive, or educational challenges. Sadgamaya started in the year 2012-and was extended to all districts in 2014.

Objectives and Deliverables

•    Identify behavioural, scholastic, psychological and physical problems of children below age of 19.
•    Impart awareness for parents, children and the general public on learning disabilities and behavioural problems.
•    Provide homoeopathy treatment for physical, mental, and behavioural learn-ing disabilities
•    Service of special education teachers is available in each unit, who train the patients in special learning methodologies and tools.
•    Provide behavioural management, treatment and counselling for adolescents.
•     Provide counselling to reduce mental stress.
•    Sensitize parents, teachers and the community about the behavioural, scholastic, psychological and physical problems of children

Beneficiaries

Sadgamaya caters to children under the age of 19. Over the years, treatment has been offered to patients suffering from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) with Mental Retardation, Autism, Schizophrenia, Depressive Disorder, Seizure Disorder, Slow Learning, Kleptomania, Persistent Depressive Disorder, Eating disorder, Impulsive Disorder, Mild Mental Retardation, Moderate Mental Retardation, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Dull Normal Intelligence, Speech and Language Disorder, Scholastic backwardness, and Substance abuse. Patient care has been provided to vulnerable children who endured or underwent situations/conditions like toxic parents, physical and mental abuse, parental neglect etc.
