• SCAN AND SHARE A FEATURE OF ABDM IN ISM E-HOSPITALS

Scan and share is a feature of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) which is implemented in all E-Hospitals under ISM department. Scan and Share is a QR Code based OPD registration system to enable patients to scan QR code of the hospital and share their demographic details and health records. This minimize the problem of long queues at ISM e- hospitals and prevents entry of incomplete and inaccurate data.

National Health Authority ( NHA) has selected 3 Model Facilities from Kerala all the 3 institutions are from ISM Department:

1) District Ayurveda Hospital, Varkala, Trivandrum

2) Government Ayurveda Hospital Ayoor, Kollam

3) Government Unnani Dispensary, Kasargod

• ISM  E- HOSPITALS

As part of digitalization, the Indian Systems of Medicine Department has provided better facilities to patients and the general public visiting hospital's O.P. Registration is done using the National Informatics Center's e-Hospital Web Application in the hospitals/dispensaries of the department. Consultation and pharmacy management in selected hospitals are done online through the e-Hospital Web Application. Scan & Share system is available in ISM e-Hospitals, where patients visiting hospitals can easily scan the hospital's QR code and do their O.P. registration without having to stand in queues. The government is taking steps to extend these activities to all institutions in the department.

All the facilities as part of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission [ABDM] are available in ISM e-Hospitals. E-hospitals have registered and started receiving incentives under the Digital Health Incentive Scheme [DHIS] introduced by the National Health Authority to promote digitalization. Training is being provided to the employees of the department to implement e-hospital and ABDM activities more effectively.
